Sur (Eastern)

If you believe you’ve got the sur(vocals) to leave the crowd spellbound, then the Singing Competition is your stage to shine. Either you perform Eastern or Western Showcase your talent and let your voice do the magic.
 

Rules & Regulations:

  • Two rounds in total (this can stretch forward to 3 rounds depending upon the number
    of registrations). 
  • While registering yourself add “E” in front of your name if you perform eastern and
    “W” if you perform western. 
  • Participants are bound to only perform Pakistani Music (One round based on patriotic
    songs). 
  • Participants are allowed to perform any song of their choice (i.e. originals or covers). 
  • Participants are not allowed to perform Mashups or medleys. 
  • Maximum time per performance is 4 minutes (3minutes for performance, 1 minute for
    sound check). 
  • Participants are allowed to bring along one other musician/instrumentalist. 
  • Participants are not allowed to repeat the same song in subsequent rounds.

Saaz (Instrumental)

Saaz (Instrumental) is a musical event that celebrates the art of instrumental performance. Participants express their creativity and emotion through melodies played on their chosen instruments, showcasing rhythm, coordination, and technical mastery.
 

Rules & Regulations: 

  • Individual performers can perform only. 
  • Only 1 accompanist is allowed which has to register separately. 
  • Repetition of any riff should not be more than three times. 
  • One instrument is allowed at a time 
  • You must bring your gear along with you. 
  • There will be two rounds. The top two qualifiers will compete in round two. 
  • Time duration is 5 minutes (3minutes for performance, 2 minutes for sound check). 
  • Winner will get a chance to perform on the Social night of Olympiad.
