Drama Competitions
Theatre
- For the drama category, open theme will be followed.
- Maximum 20 participants can register.
- There will be two rounds for Theatre.
- Teams must communicate technical requirements to the organizing committee in advance.
- Each team is required to present a short dramatic performance, adhering to a time limit of 25 minutes.
- The plays performed can be in English, Urdu or Punjabi.
- Plays should steer clear of profanity, explicit content, and offensive language.
- Considering that, the judges reserve the right to remove or disqualify the team on the spot.
- The script of the play should be submitted prior than the due date.
- Teams are responsible for their own props to be used in plays. No flame of any type can be used, including candles. Real weapons of any kind, such as a sword or knife, etc. cannot be used.
- Teams are responsible for their own makeup and costumes.
- Teams are responsible for their own set pieces. No part of any set maybe attached to any part of the stage, curtains, draperies, or other existing equipment of the host site. Team UOLDC will provide basic stage lights and sound equipment.
- Teams are required to show up on the mentioned time. Otherwise, they will be disqualified.
- The top 5 teams with the highest scores move on to the next round.
- The decisions of the judges are final and shall not be disputed.
Final Round
– Teams will perform based on a theme randomly drawn from chits provided by the organizing committee. The winners will be determined by the cumulative scores obtained in both rounds.
– The time limit for the second round will be announced based on the situation.
Management will provide the following items:
- 2 tables and 4 chairs
- Spotlight
- Flicker
- Sound system
Note:
All the participants are required to set the stage prior to their performance for which they will be given a specific time and should remove their belongings after their performance. In case of any missing item, UOLDC would not be responsible. Meanwhile, the event host can change any rules according to the situation and the decision of the judges are final and shall not be disputed.

Stand Up Comedy
1. This category will follow open theme.
2. No restriction for maximum registrations.
3. Each participant can either opt for English, Urdu or Punjabi.
4. The performance should not contain anything deemed inappropriate/vulgar.
5. Each performance should be a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 8 minutes.
6. Participants are required to show up on the mentioned time. Otherwise, they will be disqualified.
7. The decisions of the judges are final and shall not be disputed.

Script Writing
1. Each participant can either opt for English or Urdu
2. No restriction for maximum registrations.
3. There are three different themes for script writing, the participants can choose one accordingly.
4. Script should be an original work of the participants. In case of any Plagiarism, the participants will be disqualified.
5. Teams are required to show up on the mentioned time. Otherwise, they will be disqualified.
6. The decisions of the judges are final and shall not be disputed.

Monologue
• Participants have to perform a monologue with a duration lasting 5 minutes.
• They’ll be required to either make a recreation of a monologue from their film/tv series of choice OR act out an original monologue.
• Participants must submit their monologue script to UOLDC management three days prior to their performances.
• There must be no profanity, vulgarity, or blasphemous content in the monologue script.

Makeup
- Each team can bring as many participants as they want.
- Makeup can be done on yourself or on a model. (Both should be registered)
- There are two rounds for makeup,
Round 1
1.Circus of stolen dreams
- After World War 2
Round 2
(Note: the theme of second round will be informed on-spot)
- The time for first round would be 2 hours
- The time for round 2 would be 2 hours
- Teams are required to show up on the mentioned time. Otherwise, they will be disqualified.
- The decisions of the judges are final and shall not be disputed.
- Participants are required to bring their own makeup.
